Until December 2004 he earns his money as technical policy worker for the province Zuid-Holland. Nowadays he enjoys his well earned rest.
In his leisure time
In his leisure time he mostly is busy with his hugh hobby “the countrymusic”. In the Dutch scene of countrymusic he surely is not unknown. He is president of the foundation Country Music Promotions “Rijn- en Bollenstreek”. As such, he organised many country concerts and dance evenings. Hij has contacts with several promotors, managers and artists. Hij is a member of the Dutch Country Music Association (DCMA). Now and then he mades a contribution to the late magazine “Country Gazette”. That is the reason why the former VLOK asked him, to present the country program. Now the VLOK and SOR/Mebora has come to a fusion the presenting will go further under the flag of RTV Katwijk
Activities for the RTV Katwijk
Next to presenting his program he is doing no more other activities for RTV Katwijk. He was member of the board of RTV Katwijk.

Daily life
She is the one in home Van der Pol who takes care that all is running well. While working at home she able to listen to a lot of new music. She has an important tribute to the composition of the program.
Hobby
On of her most important leisure activities, is country-linedancing.
Together with Bart she visited several times Nashville, Tennessee.
She is more or less addicted to The Grand Ole Opry.

The DCMA-award is given to the best country music program of the local broadcasts in the Netherlands. The editorial staff of magazine “Country Gazette” organise every year in co-operation with the Dutch Country Music Association (DCMA) the Dutch Country Music Poll. With this poll, readers of the magazine and members of the DCMA can vote for the most popular artists, bands and concerts. At the same time, the DCMA is organizing a contest for the local broadcasters in The Netherlands for the title best country music program of The Netherlands.
Winner 2000
During the Dutch Country Music Poll Gala, on april 22, 2001 the program “Country Festival” of the VLOK in Katwijk and Valkenburg is called the winner.
